Do you find it challenging to find and photograph birds? Are you looking to improve the quality of your bird photos? Join biologist and photographer Kris Cu (BC Outreach Specialist, Birds Canada) to learn more about your camera settings and the skills you need to capture stunning images. The workshop will be hands-on and will cover topics such as finding elusive subjects, working with the light, shooting creatively and wildlife photography ethics.

Led by Yousif Attia, Birds Canada staff and national citizen science program coordinator, this walk will introduce you to the birds found at Terra Nova Rural Park in Richmond. Together you will search for Anna’s Hummingbirds, Northern Harriers and if lucky, the elusive Virginia Rail.
In this course presented by the Vancouver Avian Research Centre (VARC), you will go in-depth into Bird ID, learning essential foundations such as bird features, behaviours, topography, moulting, and field marks.

See birds like Anna’s hummingbirds, northern flickers, and red-breasted nuthatches while meeting new people and sharing in the outdoors.
