It’s migration season! The trees in our neighborhoods are getting more colorful and filled with the sweet songs of birds from afar. Join us out in the field as we search the urban environment for these transcontinental athletes touching down after their marathon flights. If we’re lucky we’ll see and hear the Western Tanager, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Rufous Hummingbird, Yellowthroat Warbler, and of course the American Robin. And possibly a surprise visitor! After our journey we’ll return to Secret Headquarters to learn about the sometimes bizarre adaptations these tiny creatures undergo as part of the phenomenon of migration and marvel at the fascinating and strange history of humanity’s attempts to understand our feathered friends and this incredible feat.
