Sunday, May 11.  Join Stanley Park Ecology on our monthly Bird Count to support the collection of baseline data to monitor the local bird biodiversity in Stanley Park. The checklists will also be submitted to eBird. Alongside the Stanley Park Ecology Team Leader and other volunteers, you’ll improve your bird identification and bird watching skills in a fun and supportive environment. All volunteers are welcome as this is a great opportunity for all birding skill levels. This recurring volunteer event takes place on the second Sunday of each month.

We will meet at 10am at the Nature House on Lost Lagoon (located beneath the viewing platform at the base of Chilco and Alberni Street). Note that the platform may be closed due to construction but you can take the lagoon loop path around either side. From there, we will be going around Lost Lagoon and Beaver Lake as you identify and record all the birds you see.

The full circuit takes approximately four hours.

New volunteers, please email naturehouse@stanleyparkecology.ca to register.
Existing Stanley Park Ecology volunteers can sign up through Better Impact.
