Join our Birding with Me program! Get to know our local feathered friends while in community outdoors. Led by biologist Andrew Huang, this walk will introduce you to the birds found at Iona Beach Regional Park. The walk will also lead you to WildResearch’s Iona Island Bird Observatory, a bird banding station that has been monitoring birds at Iona since 2010. This event is reserved specifically for LGBTQ2S+ individuals, in order to provide a safe and inclusive space to explore birding and nature. Birding with Me was made possible through the financial support of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation’s National Anti-Racism Fund.
